FIRST IMPRESSION (2/10 pts)
When I first entered your site, I was really suprised. There are marquees
all over the place. The animations are rather blinding, and when you click
'guest book' on the first page, it takes you to the main area of your site,
which is a bit confusing. I would suggest that you need to take the
animations off, or maybe choose some that aren't so blinding, and some are
truly not necessary. The little blue house, for instance. Also, you have
things floating waaaaay down on the page, for what reason, I don't know. It
appears to be a purple, sparkly box, and a broken image. Overall, I wasn't
impressed with the entrance. Also, I think you ought to put your welcome
message in Div Layers, as opposed to a marquee. And finally, your background
seems misaligned. It scrolls with the page, although it is only a corner
image. You can use CSS to define it, and you should. There are several
quality tutorials at
Lissa Explains.com Also, if you must use dividers,
don't use large and/or sparkly ones, like the pink sparkling leaves you have
dividing your text on the front page.
LAYOUT AND DESIGN (10/55 pts)
Your layout is pretty good, but it would be nice if you gave credit for the
brushes. Also, you only have 10 points in this category, because you seem to
have layout schizophrenia ;P You have a different layout for every section
of your site! xD I would completely reccomend that you use the main layout
everywhere. Your site should have 1 consistant layout scheme. Also, the
javascript entry prompt and no-right click are extremely annoying. First of
all, it's not going to keep people from stealing anything. All they have to
do is use their prnt scrn button to take a screen capture of the image(s)
they want. And it doesn't stop anyone from veiwing your source, for they can
just go to view>> source in their browser. Second, every time someone comes
back to the main page, they are assaulted by your name-asking script. I
would get rid of that ;D Finally, on your main page, where you have your
updates, I would once again reccomend putting them into divlayers, so that
the text matches the rest of your layout.
CONTENT AND ORGANIZATION (10/30 pts)
To put it bluntly, your content organization is a mess ;D You shouldn't have
links to your guestbook from more than 1 page, and right now, your site is
difficult to navigate. Also, so much of your content is protected from
normal visitors. What good is content if only your close friends can see it?
;D For your competitions- for many of the ones where you guess something,
when you have figured it out, and click on one of the links, it takes you to
a password protected page :\
CODING, BROKEN LINKS, ETC (2/5 pts)
Your site is....a validator's nightmare ;-; With all the stuff from Piczos,
I honestly could barely tell what you wrote and what your server did. I have
given you 2 points from what I can tell from external observation- there are
some broken images, and things that scroll when they should not.
