SPLASH PAGE (8/10 pts)
Your splash page has improved =) There's now a good deal of information about your site for the visitor. I'm still not too fond of the whole "sand" being the enter link...although you have linked your splash image which is great.
LAYOUT AND DESIGN (35/55 pts)
Um...the what now? Er. Ok...I know you really don't want people to copy your stuff (obviously). But this just makes your site look
extremely tacky. I mean...leave it up if you really think it'll help, but I highly doubt it will discourage someone who wants to copy your stuff. Just try watermarking your blends or something.
Looks like theres a new layout. (don't forget to update your splash image to match!). I really like the colors of this layout. Its a definate improvement. The header though is a tad on the boring side. haha. Also, it seems to be saved as a really low quality .jpg, which is making it all blurry...a defiante no no. I'm sure this header would look a little better otherwise. Try saving your images as .png. If you really want a .jpg to save space or something, try this: save as > options > set it all the way down to "lowest compression, best quality". I noticed a lot of the images on your site (including your background) are also saved in really poor quality .jpgs which doesn't make your site as a whole look too great.
uh oh. Things are all a jumbly wumbly down in the "links" section. LOL. Your music player is overlapping it...as is the "set your home page" link. (which by the way...is kind of pointless. Nothing agaisnt your site...but I doubt anyone would want to set their homepage to it...or any other personal site for that matter. Most have them set to their email sites. lol). So yea...I'd fix that up asap =)
The link me button would probably look better centered. Also, it appears you need to make the width of your iframe content a little wider. If you look at it, the content of your updates doesn't span all the way across the frame...and the centered "Updates" isn't actually in the center.
CONTENT AND ORGANIZATION (20/30 pts)
O why o why is your content still on separate pages? You have an iframe! lol. And looking at the way you did your content pages, they were obviously meant to be perfectly inside the Iframe. In your link tag, add this after the url: target="blah" (since that seems to be the name of your frame. lol) Although I think theres something weird with piczo sites, because all of the piczo sites I've seen have their content on different pages. I'm not sure why, but if its not possible at all than its not your fault. lol. I still recommend you switch to another server.
I like the way you have your content set up in the sidebar....but here are some tips to make it less confusing: the "makers", "fun", and "reads" section should still be classified under the "visitor" section since its, well, for the visitor. lol. The "site" section should go somewhere near the bottom under everything else...probably above the "links" and below the "extras" It looks a bit strange that you have a "links" section and just one page under it called "links" as well. Try naming it "www" or "world wide web" or something instead...and maybe add a "link back" page which has all your link back buttons or something. Also, theres a big gap between the "extras" heading and the "wall of shame" page.
About some of your content: I'm very confused about the "layouts" page. Are these layouts of your site or layouts for other people. If they are for other people, why are they so small? lol. No one will be able to use them!
About your backgrounds...did you make these yourself? Otherwise, please please credit whoever made them. I was wondering because I really like the fancy flowery backgrounds and would like to use them...but I need to know where to credit. lol. (and by the way...try putting all the background pages under each other...like the "blends" link should be above the "backgrounds" link so its not interuppting the little background link trio. lol) Also, maybe consolidating some of these pages would be a good idea so theres not a long list in the sidebar. Maybe putting all the backgrounds on one page...with separate headers on the actual page- "made by me", "fixed" etc.
Blends...alot of the links aren't working so I'd check up on that.
On your animations page, the "back" link is really close to the words
CODING, BROKEN LINKS, ETC (3/5 pts)
I'm not going to worry about your coding validation...I'll just "N/A" that. lol. As I mentioned, however, there were a lot of broken links on the blends page.
TOTAL (66/100)
Your site has definately improved! Great job. I can tell you care about the way it looks =) The main things you need to fix up on now are trying to get all the content to appear in the iframe (if its possible), crediting
everything you didn't make yourself, fixing the broken links on the blends page, and re-organizing your sidebar. I'm positive that your site will improve over time...it already has a ton! Keep up the great work =)
